Songs

Here is a selection of songs from the show, it takes a while to collect them as most of them are cut from the show by yours truly.

The Main Theme [In Full!!!]

Ra-a-inbow!

Up above the streets and houses rainbow climbing high
Everyone can see it smiling over the sky.

Paint the whole world with a rainbow!

All along the streams and rivers shining in the lakes.
See the colours of the rainbow as the morning breaks.

Paint the whole world with a rainbow!

Red, the colour of a sunrise, white clouds floating in a sky of blue.
Green for the rivers, gold for the cornfields, the day is shining new.

Red, the colour of a sunset, grey shadows creep across the hills.
The sun is sinking, colours are fading, the fields are dark and still.

Ra-a-inbow!

Take some green from a forest, blue from the sea.
Find the misty pot of gold, and mix through it thoroughly.

Paint the whole world with a rainbow!

Ra-a-inbow!

All along the streams and rivers, shining in the lakes,
See the colours of the rainbow as the morning breaks.

Paint the whole world with a rainbow!

Red, the colour of a sunrise, white clouds floating in a sky of blue.
Ra-a-inbow! Green for the rivers, gold for the cornfields, the day is shining new.

Ra-a-inbow!

Up above the streets and houses rainbow climbing high.
Everyone can see it smiling over the sky.

Paint the whole world, paint the whole world, paint the whole world with a rainbow!

Secret Place

When I was young,
I had a place,
a secret place of my own...

At the top of the house,
here you would find me,
alone,
all on my own.

Everybody should have a place,
a secret place of their own.
Everybody should find a space,
when they just want to be alone...

Here in my room,
I kept my toys.
Each had a special name...

Teddy the bear,
and Lucy my doll she looks just,
the same...

Everybody should have a place,
a secret place of their own.
Everybody should find a space,
when they just want to be alone...

I came up here,
in the afternoon,
to my secret room...

Fathers

My dad's a milkman,
he brings the milk to you!
He gets up very early,
Cuz that's what milkmen do.

He loads his carts with lots of crates,
and goes from door to door.
Is it one pint here today?
It's three at number four!

---

My dad's a builder,
he's got a lot to do.
Like making doors and laying floors,
and mixing concrete too!

Sometimes he's digging ditches,
and when he's mending roads,
he wheels a barrow up and down,
to carry heavy loads!

---

My dad's a policeman,
you can see him on his beat.
And if you ask politely,
he'll help you cross the street.

And when the traffic lights have stopped,
you'll find my dad around.
Directing all the motor cars,
as they drive through the town!

---

If your father gets up early,
to go to work each day.
It's very nice to see him,
when he gets back home again!

Grandparents

When we were young,
our grandparents,
often came to stay.
And sometimes,
for a special treat,
we went out for the day!

Granny and Grandad,
took me to the circus,
when I was very small.
There were lots of clowns,
some were tiny,
and some were very tall!

There was another man,
walking on a highwire,
thought he was going to fall!
But I still think,
that the Juggler,
was easily the best of all!

ooh, wap, wap,
ooh, wap, wap,

I remember,
when Granny and Grandad,
took me to the fair.
There were people selling candyfloss,
and toffee apples there!

We went for a ride on the round-a-bout,
we all went round and round!
And I'll never forget,
the great big dipper,
we all went up and down!

ooh, wap, wap,
ooh, wap, wap,

I remember,
when Granny and Grandad,
took me to the zoo.
There were lions,
prowling round and round,
and growling at me too!

There were lots of monkeys,
sitting in a cage,
and one or two chimpanzees.
One jumped up,
and ran across the cage,
and stared right back at me!

When we were young,
our grandparents,
often came to stay.
And sometimes,
for a special treat,
we went out for the day...
